Martial Arts
I have trained in various styles of martial arts for over ten years. I am ranked 2nd degree black belt in Tetsu Shin Ryu Kempo Karate, blue in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Advanced Red in Kempo-Jitsu, and purple in American Arnise (stick, knife and sword).
I gained many skills through my training which will be beneficial to my career
- Teaching skills: I taught classes for approximately 5 yrs

- Web Design Skills: I designed and maintained numerous sites for various instructors
- Promotional & Marketing Skills: I promoted many fight events, made brochures and posters, managed PR, interviewd & photographed fighters for digital publication, organized events, maintained email contact list of over 500 fighters/schools

SCUBA
I am a certified SCUBA diver. I have open water, advanced water, rescue certifications. I am also certified with the SC Archeology and Anthropology Association as a specialty diver.
I helped teach classes for approximately two years and have logged 100's of dives. I have gained skills in dealing with people, paying attention to details, planning & organization, and patience.
Horseback Riding
I love riding and caring for horses even though I currently do not have a horse. I showed hunter/jumper for several years and this hobby taught me patience, control and perseverance. I learned to be in tune with subtle changes in my emotions as well as the signals the horse gives and gave me new insight into the skill of observation
